Two Tone Dresser With Chalk Paint
Once the dresser looked sufficiently clean i painted it using annie sloan chalk paint in pure white.

Annie began by applying her primer colour of chalk paint in giverny using a chalk paint brush to create texture.

What happened next was soooooo incredibly frustrating so listen up if you re going to use chalk paint on mahogany. Chalkboard paint now comes in a bunch of colours not just black and green just check out your local home depot or other big hardware store.

No amount of paint hid the bleed through and it looked horrible. It s different from chalkboard paint it goes on matte and is well suited to furniture whereas chalkboard paint creates a chalkboard surface to write on.
Have y all seen this two tone trend yet. I used annie sloan chalk paint for this project and found the paint layered incredibly well. It was also my first time outside of a small wood board in class using this technique so i wanted the practice. If you are waiting on paint to dry pull out the blow dryer keep working.
